Foammaster is in control
The Foammaster is an electronically controlled mixing system for extinguishing foam for industrial foam extinguishing installations. In a recent project a thixotropic foaming agent had to be added. The viscosity varies from 1800 cP at standstill to 15 cP at high shear rate. However, over a range of 60 to 180 liters / minute, the Foammaster must be able to mix with an accuracy of less than 1%. Zest was tasked with making the system suitable for this application. All process parameters were determined iteratively for the entire system using Moody diagrams. Subsequently, the system could be redefined and the associated software redeveloped. Successfully. The Foammaster was approved at the end of this week!
